Rob Keeton built our 2 storey extension in the summer of 2012. Rob and all his team were honest, polite & nice men. Rob listened to all our ideas and when we wanted to make changes to the original internal plans he was more than happy to do this. Also Rob was always trying to find the best & most cost effective solution for every change made.
Everyone that worked on our house treated our property with respect and always left our house as clean and tidy as possible.

We were given Rob's details by our architect to build an extra room on top of an existing garage, using part of a room for the corridor. I spoke to Rob on the phone and at his suggestion, went to see him on-site on a building he was working on.
When I arrived at the site, I saw a team of workmen doing what I can only describe as swarming over the building. Every room had someone working in it and every room was being worked on. I met Rob, gave him the plans and all the relevant details, and he said he would get back to us in a week with an estimate. The estimate came in at the right price, and after a bit of haggling. a payment schedule was agreed (no cash up front unlike some builders) and work was scheduled to begin within a couple of weeks.
Work started on time, with a small team of builders and Rob's trusted foreman Andy. As per our requests (of which there were many, our new drive was protected with thick tarpaulin and large plywood sheets. In addition to the new room, we were having more work done: re-plastering walls and ceilings, a new bathroom suite, etc. The work was planned out by Rob so there was always something happening, and Rob even managed to pick up a couple of days lost to circumstances beyond his (or our) control.
The roof of the garage was removed, and the brickwork was put up in short time, and very well - Rob and his team took the time to plan out their work so the bricks were cut in with the existing house. They then started into the house (ahead of schedule) with the same efficiency and attention to detail. Problems and niggles were encountered and solved - for instance, we came back to find our new bath, it had been fitted with a crack in it. We rang Rob who said, very quickly, "don't worry, I've got another one on order". The build (and all associated work) was completed on time, to a high standard, to our complete satisfaction.
Rob was always contactable, either by phone, text or email, and always got back to you. I learnt that what he said got done, and when he says "we'll sort it", it gets sorted. Rob and his team were polite, efficient and friendly, and went out of their way to help.
Of all the building work he have had done before, Rob is the first builder to show great up-front planning and on-site problem-solving, and he conducts himself in a friendly and professional manner.
To summarise, I would not hesitate to recommend Rob Keeton for any building work, large or small.

I commissioned Rob to demolish my old conservatory and replace it with a permanent room. The work began on January 19th and finished seven weeks later.
I am delighted with the result. The new room looks like it has always been there. It is full of light and much warmer than my old conservatory. I also commissioned a new patio in slate and am thrilled with the result.
Rob has been a superb project manager – well organised, efficient and most importantly, willing to listen to what we wanted. The core team of Darren, Steve and Donny stayed with the job from start to finish and were a pleasure to have around. They were endlessly patient with my chronic interfering and my crazy dog!

Rob and his team removed a supporting wall and installed our new kitchen – including all electrical and plumbing works – and we are so pleased with the end result!
Rob came out to talk to us about our plans, giving great advice and guidance. The team completed the job within the (very quick) timescale and within the (very reasonable) original quote. The work was completed to a really high standard.
The best thing about having this work done was how punctual, efficient and tidy the team was! We were nervous about having to live in a building site, but were so pleasantly surprised by the way the house was left safe, clean and tidy every evening. My wife & I wanted to send you a brief email to say thank you and your team’s hard work at our home.
As you have done my friends and sisters extension and major development of my mother-in-law’s home we knew the high quality of the work you produce. We have never undertaken any major building work before, let alone a large extension and property refurbishment. The help and advice you were able to provide was practicable and useful – the idea of the vaulted ceiling amongst others.
We felt comfortable simply giving you and your team the key and letting you get on with the project whilst we were not there and were happy to see the site was always left clean and tidy with your team respecting our home, even when it was a building site.
A project of this size was always going to come with a cost. We found your cost was in line with what we expected. When we asked for additional extras or reasonable unforeseen items came up, you were always clear on the cost allowing us to make decisions, importantly you also gave us options. We were aware that some unforeseen items did crop up and you simply dealt it with, without additional cost to us. This really did help us keep a clear understanding on the cost of the project and gave us the confidence in the work.

We have recently had Rob Keeton and his team to builders to build an extension onto our house which will be a granny flat.
Right from the start of the project Rob was very professional.He was reliable and when he told us he was coming he arrived on time. He told us that the build would take 6-8 weeks and he completed the project in just over 6 weeks and that was with extras we asked for. The quote was very accurate and nothing was added during the project. Every week Rob would inform us of what progress he expected by the end of the week and this was always achieved.
The team Rob employs also behaved very professionally and worked very well together .They were self-sufficient with their own refreshments and thus had no impact on us what so ever .They were thoughtful and always cleaned up the area around the house every evening before leaving. They were very aware of the impact on the neighbours so were very courteous when having their materials /skips delivered and parking their vehicles.
The overall quality of the building is excellent and this was validated by my husband who has building experience. It blends in well with the rest of the house and looks like it was built with the main house and not as an ‘add on’. The interior was finished to a high standard and Rob gave us the benefit of his experience when planning the layout of the wet room.
We would defiantly recommend Rob and his team( and have already done so) to anyone who is thinking of having any building work and anyone who would like to see the quality of his work first hand is more than welcome to come around and see for themselves.
